2007 MVTHS Homecoming Parade

The 2007 MVTHS Homecoming Parade took place on Thursday September 20th.
School organizations Hi-Tri, HOSA, Rockin’ Rams, and FFA provided floats all centered around the Homecoming theme “Follow the Yellow Brick Road.”
Mayor Mary Jane Chesley, long time art teacher, rode in the fire truck that led the parade right behind the lead D.A.R.E. Chevrolet Camaro squad car, driven by school SRO Sgt. Jim Hawkins.
Homecoming King and Queen Candidates rode in convertibles, including; Kristen Atchison and Coyn Mateer, Emily Estes and Truvaunty Badger, Amanda Jennings and Dontrell Black, Latasha Mitchell and Travis Bond, Josee Redpath and Jake Sledge, Haley Smith and Siriwut “Bank” Limprasurtsak, Ethan Randolph, Lauren Welker, and Jordan Shoemaker.
“”Once again another great parade has been a highlight of homecoming week at Mt. Vernon high,” stated Student Council Advisor, Mr. Jamey VanZandt. “Hopefully next year we can incorporate more floats into the mix.”
