Mr. Kabat named
Outstanding Agriculture Teacher
John Kabat was named the Outstanding Agricultural Education Teacher in Illinois at the 2009 annual conference for the Illinois Association of Vocational Agricultural Teachers held in Springfield on June 17.
He was chosen out of more than 350 agricultural education teachers in Illinois. The award recognizes leadership in civic, community, agriculture/agribusiness and professional activities. Outstanding agricultural educators are innovators and catalysts for student success in agricultural education, and this award exemplifies Mr. Kabat's passion and dedication to students and agriculture.
Mr. Kabat's name and application will be forwarded to the National Association of Agricultural Educators for competition.
