Mr. Knutson Elected
IACTE President-Elect
Mt. Vernon Township High School Assistant Principal Rob Knutson was elected to serve as president-elect of the Illinois Association of Career and Technical Education (IACTE) on Thursday, June 18 at their annual summer conference held in Tinley Park, Illinois, at the Holiday Inn Select and Conference Center.
The Illinois Association of Career and Technical Education is
comprised of 9 affiliate organizations representing all areas of
career-technical education. The organization’s goals include
provisions for quality career-technical education, in-service
opportunities and program improvement for Illinois’
career-technical educators, administrators, and guidance
counselors.
Mr. Knutson will serve as President-elect through 2010 and then
serve as President of IACTE for a one-year term through 2011.
After serving as president, Knutson will continue to serve a third year as past-president. Mr. Knutson was also re-elected treasurer of the Illinois Career and Technical Administrators (ICTA) at their annual conference meeting last week.
