First Day of School
Every student will be provided insurance coverage. See the Student/Parent Handbook for details of coverage.
The first day of school will be Friday, August 13, 2010. Students are to report to their first block classes at 8:10 a.m. Any student who was unable to register on the assigned day will not be able to register until the first day of school– August 13.
School will be dismissed at 11:31 a.m. on the first day, with buses departing at 11:40 a.m.. Buses will unload on 6th Street between Jordan and Casey Streets and will load on Seventh Street.
In order to provide each student with the opportunities for a sound education program, the Board of Education has adopted various policies governing school conduct and operational procedures. These rules, regulations, and policies are listed in the Student/Parent Handbook and Agenda book. Every student will be given a copy of these handbooks during the first few days of school, which every parent or guardian should take time to read. The Student/Parent Handbook includes the daily schedules and calendar for the year at the back.
