Voter Registration for High School students will be on Wednesday, Feb. 8. The Mt. Vernon FFA will be registering our 18 year old students to vote between 11 am and noon on Wed. Feb. 8. We will give notices to teachers when their students can come to register. The students will have to bring two forms of identification to register to vote. The students that can register to vote must be 18 years of age on or before March 20, 2012. **Seniors---Financial Aid night will be held tomorrow & Wednesday from 3:45 until 6:15 in 206B (Career Center). This is a must if you need help filling out FAFSA forms. Please get more information in the Guidance Office.”

Art Students Earn Awards from the Scholastic Art Awards Competition

The Art department recently had five students receive art awards from the Scholastic Art Awards Competition. The students and their awards are: Hailey Beal- Gold Key Keila Stumbaugh- Gold Key and American Vision Vernoica Justice- Gold Key Kirstin McGowen- Silver Key Casey Southers- Certificate Gold Key winners get to have their work sent to New York for the national competition. Seniors . . . Tomorrow evening (2/7) and Wednesday evening (2/8) from 3:45 to 6:15 there is a FAFSA (Federal Student Aide) workshop for parents in room 206B. There will be a representative here to answer your questions and help you fill out your FAFSA information. Join us for the 3rd annual Mt. Vernon Softball Trivia Night Fundraiser Saturday, February 25, 2012. The softball team is raising money to help in the continuation of creating a permanent home for themselves. This fundraiser will help aid in the renovations that are taking place at Lincoln Park.
