Mayor Proclaims the Week of November 2nd "HOSA Week"

The week of November 2nd has been proclaimed "HOSA week" by Mt. Vernon Mayor Mary Jane Chesley. The week includes many activities for HOSA members. The activities planned are:
Monday November 2 - Field trip to Springfield SIU school
of medicine, tour the Pearson Museum, which houses medical
artifacts, and tour part of the School of Medicine with 2nd year
medical students. Attend a presentation by Evan Wilson, the
director of admissions, who will discuss admission requirements to
medical school. Visit the Museum of Funeral Customs near the
cemetery where President Lincoln is buried. Visit Lincoln's tomb
and a Lincoln memorabilia gift shop.
Tuesday November 3 - Wear our scrubs to school, and put up
posters made by members about various health care issues and
careers. Give a token of appreciation to Mrs. Knolhoof and Mrs.
Johnston for all their hard work.
Wednesday November 4 - Hippie day, and have a social get
together after school.
Thursday November 5 - Nerd day, and making presentations to Mrs
March's freshman health classes throughout the day.
