2012 FBLA Regional Conference
MT. VERNON TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL
FBLA WINS AT AREA CONFERENCE
The Illinois Future Business Leaders of America Southern Area Conference was held at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, with over 630 advisers, members, and guests registered from 18 area schools. The theme of the conference was "FBLA: Gateway to Greatness."
The Mt. Vernon chapter had 70 students and 3 advisers attend and compete at the regional conference. Competitions included events that were tested, and some that required a performance in front of judges from the business community.
Congratulations to the following members of the MVTHS High School FBLA Chapter who won awards at the conference:
1st PLACE EVENTS: Tyson Hill, Accounting II; Ashley Paulson, Client Service; Cole Chauncey, Tyler Knutson, Jacob Stern, Emerging Business Issues; Olivia Nadolski, Introduction to Business; Wyatt Beaty, Economics.
2nd PLACE EVENTS: Jamie Poole, Accounting I; Daniel Morrison, Business Communications; Chandler Scarbrough, Client Service; Kayla Burk, Annie Jones, Marisa Uhls, Digital Video Production; Blake Stricklin, Job Interview; Matthew Stanley, Web Site Design.
3RD PLACE EVENTS: Seth Brown, Banking & Financial Systems; Jonathan Stowers, Impromptu Speaking; Brenae Hallam, Management Decision Making; Josh Cortez, Spreadsheet Applications.
