The Art department recently had five students receive art awards from the Scholastic Art Awards Competition. The students and their awards are: Hailey Beal- Gold Key Keila Stumbaugh- Gold Key and American Vision Vernoica Justice- Gold Key Kirstin McGowen- Silver Key Casey Southers- Certificate Gold Key winners get to have their work sent to New York for the national competition. Seniors . . . Tomorrow evening (2/7) and Wednesday evening (2/8) from 3:45 to 6:15 there is a FAFSA (Federal Student Aide) workshop for parents in room 206B. There will be a representative here to answer your questions and help you fill out your FAFSA information. Join us for the 3rd annual Mt. Vernon Softball Trivia Night Fundraiser Saturday, February 25, 2012. The softball team is raising money to help in the continuation of creating a permanent home for themselves. This fundraiser will help aid in the renovations that are taking place at Lincoln Park. Along with a fun-filled night of trivia, participants can look forward to several other games in between rounds and 50/50 drawings. Everyone will walk out with a prize!
