CNA students start clinical, celebrate Christmas
Mrs. Ing’s classes started clinical in November at Countryside Manor, an intermediate and skilled nursing facility in Mt. Vernon. They started in mid-November with all day clinical. They really enjoy visiting with the residents. That was very obvious at the annual Christmas Party, held on Monday, December 15.
All 5 classes participated throughout the day. Activities included bingo, crafts, singing, refreshments and pin the nose on Rudolph. Special Thanks to Liz Clifton, who drew an EXCELLENT Rudolph!! The residents enjoyed all the activities. Jeanette Mostyn, DON, said, “ We always appreciate the HOSA girls coming. The residents really enjoy it!”. Mrs. Martin’s classes also got into the spirit, and got a little hint of what next year will be like. Who will forget Lafayette Reed’s and Mrs. Ing’s rendition of the 12 Days of Christmas!!??
This is what HOSA is about...making memories. Mrs. Martin’s classes are anxiously awaiting starting their clinical rotation, observing in different agencies and departments, while Mrs. Ing’s group is looking forward to starting at Good Samaritan Hospital in late February.
