First Responder's Develop Public Service Announcements

Over the past 6 weeks, Mrs. Martin's First Responder class has been developing Public Service Announcements. Each class broke into groups and assigned each group member a role: Director/Producer, Script/Storyboard Editor, Actor, Researcher, Film Editor. They also had to choose a topic and then develop a PSA outline to be pitched to Mrs. Martin, and two Mt. Vernon Fire Department personnel, Doug Boczek and Lt. Chris Yenny. Once their topic and outline were approved, they wrote final scripts and filmed their PSA's. Topics for each groups PSA's included: Bulleying, Abortion, Stranger Danger, Child Abuse, and Texting While Driving. Groups presented their PSA's and were scored by Mrs. Martin and MVFD's Doug Boczek and Lt. Chris Yenny.
