The mission of the Mt. Vernon Area Vocational Center is to develop, through a strong curriculum, responsible and productive citizens who are prepared for life-long learning.

To accomplish its mission, Mt.Vernon Area Vocational Center will:

Cultivate and prepare future citizens through programs and staff.
Ensure students have the skills, knowledge, and ability to enter directly into the workforce, continue their education, or enter some form of post-high school career training.
Prepare students to be marketable in their chosen careers and to adapt to future opportunities.
Work cooperatively with communities, businesses, families, and schools to maximize educational opportunities and support.
Provide a safe and accessible learning environment.
