Donations Sought...
This spring another outstanding class of young people will graduate from Mt. Vernon Township High School. Project Graduation will provide a safe, chaperoned alcohol, drug-free event for the senior class to celebrate their successful completion of high school.
To make this event possible, monetary contributions are needed to finance the transportation, facility rental, entertainment, food and prizes. We also welcome the donation of attendance prizes that could be given to reward those who participate. Please help . . .

Fifteen Qualify for State in Six Events
Saturday, February 22, 2010, students from Mt. Vernon Area Vocational Center’s SkillsUSA chapter traveled to Southwestern Illinois College in Granite City to compete in the Regional qualifying examination for Illinois SkillsUSA. The students competed in a total of ten competitions and qualified eight students in seven of the competitions. These eight students will represent Mt. Vernon AVC at the SkillsUSA State competition to be held on April 15-17 in Springfield, Illinois.
