Membership
The Technology Committee should have representatives
from:
1. Technology Director (Chair)
2. Network Administrator (Vice Chair)
3. AVC/CTE Office Representative (Secretary)
4. Plant Superintendent
5. School Library Representative
6. School Board Representative
7. Brehm Library Representative
8. Mt. Vernon Township H.S. Foundation Representative
9. Rend Lake College Representative
10. Mt. Vernon Police Department Representative
11. Regional Office of Education Representative
12. School Improvement Team Representative
13. Faculty Members at Large (2)
14. Staff Members at Large (2)
15. Parent Members at Large (3)
16. Student Representative at Large (3)
17. Business/Industry Members at Large (3)
Candidates for membership should be interested in the
school/technology, should be cooperative, responsible, and
productive people who possess integrity. They should express a
willingness to serve.
Membership
Task Group
The Chair will appoint a three-member task group to solicit
nominations and screen potential committee members. The task group
will provide orientation for new members and assist in dealing with
situations of excessive absenteeism.
Program Staff Role
The Chair and membership task group have responsibility for
determining needed representation and identifying members to serve
on the Technology Committee.

Representation
Note: It is recommended that the Technology Committee has diverse
representation and strives to meet a gender balance.
Size of the Committee
Technology Committee membership should fall between 25 and 30
members.
Term of Office
One year; subject to renewal for a second one-year term.
The Technology Committee membership shall be selected as representative of the interest in Mt. Vernon Township High School District.
The term of appointment for members shall begin on the last Monday in September.
Members shall be appointed for terms of one year.
