The mission of the Mt. Vernon Area Vocational Center is to develop, through a strong curriculum, responsible and productive citizens who are prepared for life-long learning.
To accomplish its mission, Mt.Vernon Area Vocational Center will:
- Cultivate and prepare future citizens through programs and staff.
- Ensure students have the skills, knowledge, and ability to enter directly into the workforce, continue their education, or enter some form of post-high school career training.
- Prepare students to be marketable in their chosen careers and to adapt to future opportunities.
- Work cooperatively with communities, businesses, families, and schools to maximize educational opportunities and support.
- Provide a safe and accessible learning environment.
