Quinten Loyd, a sophomore at MVTHS, will perform with the Illinois Music Educators All-State Orchestra later this month in Peoria, Illinois. Quinten auditioned in the fall for the district All-State and then also auditioned for the state orchestra. Quinten Loyd plays the string bass in the Symphoninc Orchestra at MVTHS.

Member of the MVTHS Symphonic Orchestra, along with Director Rolland Mays, helped to spread holiday cheer this season. They spent two afternoons providing Christmas Music to hospitals and nursing homes in the Mt. Vernon area.
