Continental Tire (CTNA) - Maintenance Apprenticeships

In the summer after High School Graduation, summer 2013, selected Apprentices would be required to complete the new employee safety training at Continental Tire, testing and registration at Rend Lake College. If the Apprentice has achieved 18 years of age they would be required to work on a full time basis at Continental Tire at a rate of $16.30 per hour and would receive other full time benefits associated with employment at Continental Tire. Additionally apprentices would attend classes part time on their off work time at Rend Lake College in the Industrial Electronics and Maintenance technician program to achieve an associate’s degree in industrial maintenance.

Continental Tire (CTNA) - Maintenance Internships

In the summer after High School graduation, summer 2013, the selected interns would be required to complete the new employee safety training at Continental Tire, testing and registration at Rend Lake College. If the intern has achieved 18 years of age they would work on a limited basis at Continental Tire*, not to exceed 20 hours per week at a rate of $16.30 per hour.

During the fall and spring semesters the interns would be registered for between 17 and 19 hours (depending on semester and required curriculum) at Rend Lake College. Interns would likewise work in the Mount Vernon plant during the fall and spring semesters not to exceed 20 hours per week, (work schedules would be arranged to accommodate class schedule)

*They will be required to work 40hrs during the summer.
