The dirt on maintenance

Noticed a lot of dirt piles and machinery around G building lately? It all pays off in the end - the maintenance crew is hard at work ensuring that certain parts of the school are functioning correctly and look their best.
The large dirt ditches in front of G building are a part of a sewer project needed to prevent any possible accidents from happening.
“The gutter drains went bad, and we had to replace them,” explained Brian Rightnowar, Plant Superintendent. “Sink holes were forming, and we replaced them for safety.”
After replacing the gutter drains, another task was to reconnect them to the city storm sewers. This project took a total of 5 days, with all members of maintenance working diligently to complete it.
As well as the gutter drains, more improvements will appear around school.
“Right now we’re doing some landscaping in front of F Building,” Rightnowar said.
Another upcoming plan is to take place in the infamous MV tunnels. Maintenance will enter the tunnels and remove any mud or debris that has built up in that area. They will begin that during the next few weeks.
