~Students who are absent from semester exams will have 5 days to make up exams after the school year ends. The 5 days are May 30 & 31 and June 3, 4, & 5. They should come to the Main Office in A building beginning at 8 a.m. and must start their last exam of the day by 2:30 p.m. No exams will be given on May 29.

State Winning Livestock Judging Team 2013

Congratulations to the Mt. Vernon FFA Livestock Judging Team which placed 1st in the State at the University of Illinois on April 26, 2013. The team consisted of Adrian Austin – 2nd place individual, Brooke Phillips – 15th individual, Myles Tate – 16th individual, Megan Reynolds, and Augusto Navarro.  The team competed with reasons division which allowed the students to judge the animals and then talk about three of the nine classes of animals. The students competed against over 550 students from across Illinois. The team will now advance to the National Competition at Louisville, Kentucky the last week of October. . . . read more

Continental Tire (CTNA) - Maintenance Apprenticeships/Internships for 2013

  Continental Tire (CTNA) - Maintenance Apprenticeships In the summer after High School Graduation, summer 2013, selected Apprentices would be required to complete the new employee safety training at Continental Tire, testing and registration at Rend Lake College. If the Apprentice has achieved 18 years of age they would be required to work on a full time basis at Continental Tire at a rate of $16.30 per hour and would receive other full time benefits associated with employment at Continental Tire.
