Summer Games Recap:
Five athletes and two coaches attended State Summer Games at the campus of Illinois State University the weekend of June 13-15. Everyone had a great time and many awards were received. Most notably, Antonio Moore received the "Outstanding Athlete of the Year" award during the VIP Reception at the Bone Student Center.
On Friday several competitions were completed despite the threat of severe weather and Saturday's weather was sunny and warm!
The results from the weekend are as follows:
Sydney Irvin: Standing Long Jump- 4th place, 200M Run- 6th place ribbon
Nicholas Meador: 400M Run- 5th place ribbon, Shot Put- Bronze medal
Antonio Moore: 400M Run- Gold medal, Shot Put- 5th place ribbon
Sierra Okraj: 400M Run- Gold medal, Standing Long Jump- Gold medal
Courtny Sammons: 100M Run- 4th place ribbon, Shot Put- Gold medal
