It was a day of celebration at Ken Hunt Stadium today as Mount Vernon held a ribbon cutting for their new Turf field. The new field has been two years in the making but construction was swiftly completed in February and the field is now in use for GIrls Soccer. Superintendent Melanie Andrews conducted the ceremony to thank the Major Sponsors and special check from Pepsi Mid-America.
