The Illinois Basketball Coaches Association announced this morning that Coach Jeff Lonnon will be inducted into the Coaches Wing of the IBCA Hall of Fame on May 2, 2026. Lonnon won his 400th career game this past season on the way to a Lady Rams South 7 "3-peat" Championship.
"An award like this, it's a tribure to all the players who bought into our system and worked their tails off over the years. It's a team award, I just get the recognition," said Lonnon today.
In his career, Lonnon has posted up a record of 411 - 288 (so far). Along with MVTHS, he also coached at Anna-Jonesboro, Edwards County, and Benton. He has led teams to seven IHSA Regional Championships, two IHSA Sectional Championships, and a collection of conference titles in the River-to-River, Little Illini, and South Seven.
The ceremony will take place at CEFCU Arena at Illinois State University.
WAY TO GO, COACH!
