A John Scrivner Sr Memorial Scholarship was recently presented to MVTHS senior Jasmyne Owens. Jasmyne has been a member of the MVTHS yearbook staff for four years and was often seen covering MVTHS sporting events. She plans to attend Rend Lake College and transfer to SIU Carbondale to major in elementary education. Paralee Scrivner presented a John Scrivner Sr Memorial Scholarship to MVTHS senior Faye Bliffen. Faye will attend SIUC this fall and major in business. During her time at MVTHS, Faye has been a member of the drama club and chorus and is working on writing a book.

Congratulations to Coach Tim Holloway on earning his 500th win (baseball and basketball) at MVTHS! Coach Holloway previously led the Rams baseball program to a 383-208 record over his 17-year tenure and is currently in his 6th year as boys' basketball coach with a record of 117-43. His combined record for both sports is 500-251. Congratulations on this great milestone!
