The Illinois 5 Essentials Parent Survey.
All MVTHS students and teachers will be taking the 5Essentials Survey, which is a statewide survey designed to generate a detailed picture of the inner workings of your child’s school.
There is also a parent survey to be completed by parents/guardians of MVTHS students. Your participation in the survey will help us understand more about MVTHS and help guide improvement.
The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and is completely confidential and will never be connected to you or your child. Only one parent/guardian per household should submit a survey for a given child.
Please follow the instructions below to take the survey before March 13. Thanks in advance for your help in making MVTHS the best it can be!

Hi-Tri is celebrating their 100th Anniversary this year! They are again hosting Sweetheart Week here at MVTHS, March 2nd - 7th.
They are seeking sponsorship for Sweetheart Week and ask that you consider the purchase of a Sweetheart Sponsorship.

Each student who purchases a ticket to the Sweetheart Dance will receive a t-shirt that reflects
the Sweetheart theme. In honor of Hi-Tri’s 100th anniversary, this year’s theme is “A 1920s
Night Under the Stars” and the t-shirts have been designed around this theme. Students love
wearing their dance shirts and we are continuing this tradition. All funds raised will go towards
the t-shirts and Sweetheart activities.
Semester Exams are this Thursday and Friday.
