Welcome back to MVTHS!

MVTHS is excited to welcome students back for the 22-23 school year. Here are a couple of quick reminders as we start the year…
Doors open at 7:45. Class begins at 8:10.
Monday is a 1:57 dismissal. The normal 3:09 dismissal begins Tuesday.
Thanks to a state grant, student breakfasts and lunches are free this year.
Students will be issued a Chromebook, charger, and carry case.
Bus drop off is in the front of the building. Car rider drop off is in the back by the cafeteria. Students enter only through those two entrances.
22-23 Picture Day is August 17th.
More information will be provided to students once school starts.

Skyward Family Access is back in service. You can access Skyward from the front page of the school's website, or from the Skyward app.

We are currently working on resolving a problem with Skyward Family Access. It is preventing families from registering students and accessing their student's information. We'll get it resolved as fast. Watch this space for updates!
STUCO Summer Workshop Invitation

Beginning with the 22-23 school year, students are strongly encouraged not to bring backpacks or bags to school. However those who choose to must place the backpack/bag in the student assigned locker upon arrival. The backpack/bag must remain there through the instructional day.
Purses or pencil pouches may be carried but may not exceed 10”x8”x10”.
Administration reserves the right to inspect any backpack, bag or purse.

The first day of student attendance for the 22-23 school year will be Monday, August 15.
Please stay tuned for information about student registration and a freshmen orientation day - all scheduled for early August at this time.
District offices will be closed this week to allow our Operations staff time to complete routine summer cleaning and maintenance. Staff members will either be working in alternate locations on campus or remotely from home.

Congratulations to the MVTHS FFA chapter! At this week’s state convention, our chapter was recognized with the following awards: Growing Leaders National Chapter Award Section Winner, Harvest for All - 3rd place, Building Communities National Chapter Award Section Winner, and Strengthening Agriculture National Chapter Award Section Winner.
No Summer School on June 20th (Monday) and MVTHS offices will be closed in observation of the Juneteenth holiday.
The first two week session of summer school begins Monday, May 31. Class will run from 8:30 to 12:30. Students will be given a grab and go lunch each day.
Summer office hours begin Tuesday, May 31 and run through Friday, July 29. Offices will be open 8-1 Monday through Friday.
Graduation videos are available! If you ordered a copy of the graduation video, it is available in the Main Office - 8-11 Monday-Friday. If you did not, and you want one, please call the main office. 246-1750. The videos are $25 and are delivered on a jump drive.

MVTHS offices will be closed Tuesday, May 24 from 8-10 a.m. so staff may celebrate the retirement of Mrs. Laura Woods along with our service pin honorees.
A special thank you goes out to WMIX for live-streaming the graduation ceremony last night. We appreciate the station doing this so friends and family from anywhere in the world could watch the ceremony.
